Oh Chicago. My trip last weekend was full of adventure and inspiration. It was my first visit to the Windy City and I loved every second of my time there. When I arrived, my friend Steven & I went and pulled clothes for our shoot. We ended up finding a few pieces that worked really well for the two looks we had envisioned. The next day we had a few meetings in the city and also explored the downtown area. I visited the Bean, Millennium Park, Willis tower sky deck and also the amazing Intellegencia Coffee shop. Saturday we continued to prepare for the shoot and at night we went to a benefit fashion show on the campus of DePaul University. The show For the Sake of Fashion, benefited UNICEF and was hosted by Alex of Street Style Chi. It was amazing! The first photo below is from the show. Thanks for the amazing seats Alex!
Sunday. Shoot day. What an awesome team! I'll be sharing the photos from the shoot soon. Thanks to everyone involved: Steven Chellappa, Poli Tsiftillis, Ashley Manuel and Ashley W. On my last full day in Chicago, I had the privilege of seeing my friend Sararose. She is an amazing designer in Chicago who I've know for a few years. View her boutique, Stix and Roses to shop her items online. It was so good connecting with other creative people and living the city life for a weekend. I can't wait to make another trip to Chi Town for more photography shoots in the city. A huge thanks to the amazing Steven Chellappa, for being a wonderful host and supportive friend.
Chicago, you've been good to me. You will unexpectedly always have a special place in my heart.
