A lot has happened since my trip to Nashville this past summer. I know you have all heard me mention my trip and I am so excited to finally share how it inspired and changed me. I am not exactly sure how I first heard about Sarah Barlow, but after "liking" her facebook photography page a while back, I soon learned about her summer internship program. I was hesitant to apply at first but, then realized how much I enjoy learning, meeting new people and collaborating with other photographers. My trip to Nashville last summer was my first time in music city, and I am already itching to go back. I learned so much from Sara, Stephen & all the other talented interns. Each day we tackled a ton of subjects from focusing on your photography style to being a financially savvy business owner. One of the best experiences was actually hanging in the gorgeous mansion and goofing off together late at night. I have always longed to have a network of photographer friends that support & encourage each other - and that is exactly what I unexpectedly attained from this internship. Another highlight of my trip was styling & photographing The Ugly Kids Club with my fellow intern Taylor Barlow. It was amazing to have our imprint on ever aspect of the shoot down to the choice of makeup. It was during this shoot that I realized I had a love for photographing musicians. The experience with Sara & Stephen really solidified my love for styling & photography. Enjoy a few of the behind the scenes photos below!
